The Remote Customer Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients calling, emailing, or messaging our practice. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming experience by answering questions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and directing concerns to the appropriate team members. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment—all from a remote setting.
Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and live chat inquiries from new and existing patients.
Provide information about dental services, office hours, providers, and treatment options.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using dental practice management software.
Verify insurance information and communicate benefits to patients.
Assist with billing inquiries and direct complex questions to the appropriate department.
Maintain accurate patient records and document all interactions in the system.
Ensure all communication is HIPAA-compliant and maintains patient confidentiality.
Collaborate remotely with front desk, billing, and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and CRM platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Reliable internet connection and a distraction-free remote work environment.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Bilingual in Spanish or another language is a strong plus.
Familiarity with dental procedures, terminology, and insurance processing.
