Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Cryptography Engineering for a remote contract role. You will help build secure infrastructure for institutional digital finance, focusing on cryptography, MPC, and resilient backend services.

You will work with Rust, Go, or C/C++ to implement cryptographic components, review libraries, and secure storage for key shares, while leveraging hardware security features such as Intel SGX and HSMs. This position offers a competitive W2 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Expertise in secure software development and cryptography engineering.
• Hands-on experience with cryptographic protocols, key exchange, or signature schemes.
• Familiarity with hardware security features such as Intel SGX and HSMs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure software components for a crypto custody wallet based on MPC.
• Apply threat modeling to anticipate and mitigate attack vectors including side-channel and MITM during MPC rounds.
• Implement and review cryptographic code in Rust, Go, or C/C++ with secure coding practices.
• Audit and integrate cryptographic libraries such as OpenSSL and MPC-specific frameworks.
• Leverage hardware security features including Intel SGX and HSMs, including remote attestation.
• Integrate with blockchain nodes and APIs to assemble and broadcast transactions across networks.
• Parse and construct blockchain transactions, including Bitcoin UTXOs and Ethereum RLP.
• Design secure storage for encrypted key shares and audit logs, and implement robust database practices.
• Build reliable networking, RPC, and concurrency controls for orchestrating multi-party signing.
• Contribute to cloud security and containerized deployments to avoid misconfigurations.
