Placements24 seeks a highly analytical Remote Crop Scientist to join a global leader in agricultural innovation. You will apply data analytics, statistical modeling, and ML to crop genetics, environment, and yield data to drive improvement initiatives and sustain global food security.

This fully remote role requires a Ph.D. or Master’s in Plant Science or a related field, strong coding skills in Python or R, and experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Plant Science, Agronomy, Bioinformatics, Statistics, CS or related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, statistics, and ML in agri/biological context.
• Proficient in Python or R with libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical models and ML to analyze large-scale agronomic datasets.
• Identify genetic markers and environmental interactions affecting yield and resilience.
• Collaborate with breeders, agronomists, and data engineers to translate findings into actionable insights.
• Design experiments to validate predictive models and hypotheses.
• Visualize data and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
