Job summary

aah is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in a virtual critical care program from home. You will manage adult ICU patients, collaborate with a 50-physician team, and participate in 24/7 coverage across Illinois and Wisconsin with shift-based scheduling.

The role requires acute care board certification and at least three years of critical care experience, with licensure in IL and/or WI. This position offers CME support and a salary guarantee with incentives.

Qualifications

Active RN license and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP or other APRN license in state(s) of practice.
Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served.
Active DEA registration prior to hire.
If Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire.
Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and modify treatment plans for ICU patients.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and therapies.
Provide health promotion and disease management counseling to patients and families.
Care for patients as part of an interdisciplinary team and escalate to physicians as needed.
Maintain timely documentation in the EMR and participate in quality initiatives.
