Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a JD degree and an active NC law license in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in criminal defense or a related field.
• Proven ability to communicate with clients and keep them informed throughout the process.
• Strong collaboration with attorneys and staff to develop case plans.
• Experience in attending hearings, trials, and negotiations in Raleigh/Durham.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, ensuring their rights are protected.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build defense strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed throughout the process.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop comprehensive case plans.
• Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and briefs with precision.
• Negotiate with prosecutors to seek favorable outcomes, including pleas.
• Attend court hearings and trials in Raleigh/Durham, remotely or in person as needed.
