Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a HLC Credit Analyst II to monitor and underwrite loans in the Regional Bank Business Loan Portfolio. The role requires critical thinking to provide thoughtful credit recommendations for borrowers within the portfolio.

Responsibilities include reviewing complex financial statements, waivers, and covenant compliance, while coaching peers and contributing to monthly reporting. Minimum 1+ year in commercial banking is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1+ years’ experience in business or commercial banking in a centralized lending environment.
• Proven experience reviewing and analyzing financial data.

Responsibilities

• Further development of business credit acumen with independent decision‑making skills.
• Provide recommendations regarding financial condition as it relates to debt service, covenants and borrowing base compliance.
• Underwrite simple credit requests within the SOR and explain decisions.
• Review and analyze complex financial statements, borrowing bases, covenant compliance, and waiver requests for the loan portfolio.
• Monitor covenant/borrowing base violations as assigned.
• Assist with monthly reporting and credit commentary.
• Coach and train peers on financial analysis, credit policy, and writing skills.
