Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Litigation Attorney (Commercial Real Estate) on a contractor basis. This remote, US-based role focuses on drafting and advancing CRE disputes, with senior-level direction and a framework for iterative feedback.

The ideal candidate holds a JD and 3+ years of post‑JD litigation experience, especially in leases, transactions, zoning, or financing. Prior AI project exposure is a plus, with strong English legal writing skills.

Qualifications

Active or lapsed license as a US attorney, admitted in at least one US jurisdiction.
Minimum of 3 years' post-JD litigation experience, emphasizing real drafting, discovery, and motion practice.
Proven background in handling commercial real estate litigation related to leases, transactions, development, landlord-tenant issues, zoning, or financing/security interests.

Responsibilities

Draft authentic litigation work product, including motions, briefs, demand letters, and discovery, in response to evolving commercial real estate disputes.
Produce turn-by-turn deliverables under senior direction, mirroring the process of submitting drafts for partner review in real practice.
Develop and document rubric items alongside your drafts, explicitly outlining criteria for strong responses to opposing counsel's submissions.
Incorporate senior feedback efficiently each round, demonstrating adaptability with minimal need for redirection.
Ensure continuity in case theory and litigation posture across multiple engagement turns.
Identify and flag procedural uncertainties, missing information, or factual ambiguities needing resolution by the senior or team lead.
