DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Kentucky Licensed Appeals Coder to remotely manage the appeal of unpaid claims from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, collaborating with insurance carriers to ensure timely, accurate resolutions and proper payment.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or GED, CPC certification through AAPC or CCS/CCS-P through AHIMA, and 3 years of coding experience handling medical insurance claims.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• CPC certification through AAPC or CCS/CCS-P through AHIMA required.
• Preferred 3 years of prior coding experience.
• Experience working with medical insurance.

Responsibilities

• Review and appeal unpaid claims on a daily basis
• Work with insurance carriers to resolve appeal issues and provide feedback to the coding department
• Ensure accurate payment by reviewing remits and denials for accuracy

Education

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification through AAPC

CCS/CCS-P certification through AHIMA
