Job summary
The Course Facilitator at Amentum supports the student learning experience in a virtual course by answering questions, validating automated grading, and contributing facilitator-owned inputs to course deliverables per the SOW.
They troubleshoot LMS issues, escalate defects to appropriate teams, monitor learner progress, and provide guidance on networking, operating systems, and technical writing to students as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field with experience in online learning
- Experience reviewing grading outputs (manual or automated) for anomalies
- Familiarity with LMS platforms at instructor/facilitator level preferred
- Proven ability to document issues with reproducible steps and timestamps
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with a diverse group of learners
- Review automated grading outputs and confirm correctness
- Document and reproduce grading anomalies for correction
- Provide first-line student support for navigation, submissions, and issues
- Escalate platform defects with diagnostic details (steps, timestamps, logs)
- Monitor learner progress and maintain logs of recurring issues
- Assist in preparing course deliverables with facilitator-provided inputs
- Advise students on networking, OS, and technical writing
