Job summary

Acquisition.com is seeking a Corporate Counsel to act as the day-to-day legal resource and primary force multiplier for the GC. You will manage intake, contracts, and escalate complex matters to the GC, while keeping high-volume operations moving efficiently.

The role is hands-on, requires rapid responsiveness, and supports teams across marketing, sales, operations, and tech. You will drive templates, playbooks, and AI-assisted workflows to scale with growth.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of in-house experience at a high-growth company.
• Hands-on experience with FTC Act Section 5 and advertising compliance; GDPR, CCPA, TCPA preferred.
• Experience running and improving legal operations: intake workflows, contract lifecycle management, matter tracking, or legal tech.
• Ability to explain legal issues clearly to non-lawyers and build trust across teams.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates vendor contracts, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, sponsorships, and event contracts.
• Manages a mixed docket across entities, re-prioritizing as needed.
• Owns day-to-day privacy, data protection, and information security questions; escalates to GC when required.
• Supports GC on investment documents, diligence, and litigation matters; coordinates with outside counsel.
