Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Conversational AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade conversational AI solutions, including voice and chat bots, powered by AWS services and large language models. You will collaborate with architects, cloud engineers, and product owners to deliver AI-driven applications.

In this remote US position, you will build production-grade GenAI apps using Bedrock, Lex, and tool/calling workflows, while optimizing performance, latency, and cost.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building Conversational AI and Agentic AI platforms using AWS Bedrock, Lex, and related services.
• Hands-on experience deploying production-grade Generative AI solutions with LLMs, tool calling, and multi-agent workflows.
• Designing intent models, prompts, and NLU capabilities for effective user experiences.
• AWS cloud development including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience securing enterprise AI apps with guardrails, data protection, and responsible AI controls.
• Experience monitoring and optimizing AI agents in production.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development platforms like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy conversational AI platforms including voice and chat bots on AWS.
• Build agentic AI apps using Bedrock AgentCore and related SDKs.
• Develop Generative AI applications with tool calling and multi-agent workflows.
• Create intent models, prompts, and NLUs to improve UX.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI agents for latency and cost.
