Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Conversational AI Platform Engineer in the United States (remote). You will design, develop, and deploy enterprise‑grade conversational AI solutions, voice and chat bots, and agentic AI applications using AWS services and LLMs.

You will build production‑grade AI applications, design intents and prompts, and optimize systems for performance, security, and cost. Collaboration with architects and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience building Conversational AI and Agentic AI platforms using Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lex, and related AWS AI services.
• Hands‑on experience producing production‑grade Generative AI solutions with LLM applications, agent workflows, tool calling, and function calling.
• Experience designing voice bot and chat bot solutions, including intent modeling, conversation design, prompts, and NLU concepts.
• Solid AWS cloud development experience including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience securing enterprise AI apps with guardrails, data protection, access controls, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing AI agents in production.
• Hands‑on experience with conversational analytics, agent evaluation, and bot performance optimization.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI platforms including voice and chat bots on AWS and LLM tech.
• Build and orchestrate agentic AI apps using Bedrock, AgentCore, and Strands framework.
• Develop production‑grade Generative AI solutions with tool and function calls, multi‑agent workflows, and orchestration patterns.
• Create intent models, conversation flows, prompts, and NLU for strong user experiences.
• Monitor, optimize, and improve AI agents for accuracy, latency, scalability, observability, and cost.
