Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Controls & Robotics Engineer to join a growing automation team serving manufacturing clients across food & beverage, pharma, and industrial markets. You will evaluate operations, identify automation opportunities, and develop robotics solutions from concept to commissioning.

This role blends hands-on controls with consultative client engagement to translate challenges into practical automation.

Qualifications

Hands-on PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA experience in industrial settings.
Experience integrating robotics in manufacturing environments.
Strong ability to translate client needs into automation solutions.

Responsibilities

Evaluate operations to identify automation opportunities and optimization.
Develop robotics and controls solutions for palletizing and material handling.
Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and tailor automation strategies.
Define system architecture, controls strategy, and robotics plans.
Program and integrate PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, and robotics systems.
Serve as liaison between clients, teams, and vendors to align goals.
Support commissioning with onsite testing and validation.
Contribute to CapEx planning and project estimates.
Develop SOPs and train operators for robotics systems.
