Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking a Controls System Specialist to support the commissioning of data center Building Management System and Electrical Power Monitoring System. The role requires traveling up to 80% and involves installation support, wiring verification, calibration, and detailed testing across PLCs, HMIs, and vendor systems.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in the field, plus strong networking and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience (3+ years).
• Basic understanding of control system components, wiring, and networking.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% for large portions of projects.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and commissioning of data center BMS and EPMS.
• Verify and troubleshoot control system I/O wiring.
• Perform field instrumentation calibration when required.
• Conduct loop testing of device data points to ensure SCADA integration.
• Perform functional testing of PLCs, HMIs, and vendor systems.
• Document testing progress and results using spreadsheets and BIM360/CxAlloy.
• Troubleshoot network, wiring, data point mapping, and operational issues.
