Controller - Remote

Join a rapidly growing multi-state retail organization as a Controller, overseeing all accounting operations in a remote capacity. This role involves ensuring financial reporting integrity, compliance, budgeting, and cash flow management within a $50M+ organization with over 40 locations across 9 states.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost and Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate budget preparation, financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Manage financial transactions, reporting, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with government reporting and tax filings.
• Develop business processes and accounting policies.
• Manage cash flow and oversee investments and asset management.
• Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiations.
• Implement operational best practices and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting and finance experience in a multi-state organization.
• Advanced degree in Accounting.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement creation, and software tools like SAP.
• Excellent data analysis, forecasting, leadership, and communication skills.
