Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor, operate, and analyze its fleet of wind, solar, and battery storage facilities from the Chicago HQ. The role emphasizes real-time data interpretation, fault response, and coordination with technicians and grid operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with strong analytical and technical skills OR 2 years of relevant experience OR military service in roles requiring analytical and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and operate wind, solar, and battery storage facilities and related plant equipment.
• Promptly address turbine and inverter faults.
• Manage balance of plant controls and ensure reliable facility operations: power/curtailments, voltage, reactive power, and other controls as needed.
• Respond to critical alarms and situations.
• Communicate and coordinate with site technicians, customers, grid operators, and third-parties.
