Retell AI Inc. is seeking a Compliance Engineer (Contract) to build and own the controls that keep our cloud-native platform secure, compliant, and enterprise-ready.

You’ll work with Engineering, Security, Legal, and customers to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions. This hands-on role emphasizes automating evidence collection, addressing gaps, and enabling Retell to move quickly without sacrificing security.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in software engineering, security, infrastructure, IT, or related field.
• Interested in compliance, security, and scalable compliance programs.
• Comfortable learning new security frameworks and turning requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, or similar.
• Understand IAM, encryption, networking, logging, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
• Analytical and able to solve ambiguous problems.
• Able to work across Engineering, Security, Legal, and customer-facing teams.
• Clear communication of technical and compliance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or other compliance frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Vanta, Drata, Wiz, Okta, or similar tools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Compliance Engineering: Build and maintain technical controls across security and compliance frameworks.
• Automation: Automate compliance workflows, evidence collection, access reviews, security checks.
• Security Controls: Implement and monitor controls around access management, data protection, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Audit Readiness: Support audits by owning technical evidence collection and working with auditors to address requirements.
• Enterprise Security: Respond to security questionnaires, compliance requirements, and technical due diligence.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in our compliance and security programs and build scalable systems to address them.
