Job summary

Access TeleCare is seeking board-certified Consult-Liaison Psychiatrists for a fully remote role guiding psychiatric care for medically ill patients across hospital settings. The psychiatrist will perform remote evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning, collaborating with hospital teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates are board-certified with C-L psychiatry fellowship training, comfortable with telehealth, and able to supervise APPs.

Qualifications

• Board-certified MD or DO.
• Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
• Telehealth experience is a plus but not required.
• Eligible for medical licensure and hospital credentialing.
• Willing to supervise APPs.
• Shifts: Monday-Friday; weekdays and every other weekend.
• Shifts: 8AM-8PM EST (with breaks).

Responsibilities

• Provide remote psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to medical, surgical, ICU, and specialty units.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations assessing mood disorders, delirium, psychosis, anxiety, substance use, cognitive disorders, and behavioral disturbances.
• Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions in medically ill patients.
• Initiate and adjust psychotropic medications considering medical comorbidities and interactions.
• Assess decision-making capacity for medical treatment and document it as needed.
• Evaluate and manage suicidal ideation, self-harm risk, agitation, and behavioral emergencies in hospital settings.
• Assist with delirium and neuropsychiatric complications management.
