Job summary
Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Construction Automation Engineer in a fully remote role with on-site work in Oak Ridge, TN. The position focuses on deploying, maintaining, and governing construction automation tools, data flows, and digital delivery practices across projects.
The role bridges field operations, engineering, IT, and project controls to enable real-time, data-driven construction delivery, productivity reporting, turnover readiness, and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction and 8–10 years in construction automation, or 12–14 years in related roles.
- Experience deploying construction management systems, project execution plans, and construction procedures.
- Experience with TEAMWorks, Smart Completions, Aconex.
- Power BI and SSRS proficiency.
- SQL and Oracle data management.
- Knowledge of AWP and turnover processes.
- Ability to work in fast-paced field environments.
Responsibilities
- Construction automation implementation and governance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Ensure data integrity and integration across systems (digital thread).
- Coordinate with IT, Construction, and Engineering teams.
- Support turnover and commissioning data handover.
- Provide training and onboarding for automation resources.
