Job summary

The Texas Public Policy Foundation's Center for the American Future seeks an aggressive and innovative litigator with experience in the federal judiciary as an Attorney. The position may be fully remote or based at our Austin headquarters, with the expectation of travel as needed.

The Center defends the Constitution by challenging government overreach and engages in administrative, district, and appellate work on behalf of ordinary people whose lives and liberties are threatened by government

Qualifications

• The Attorney must be a self-starter who can develop innovative ideas independently.
• Strong legal writing ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Strategic legal thinker with a JD and constitutional-law proficiency for complex litigation.
• Litigation experience in trial and appellate courts, administrative law, policymaking, and/or media.
• A leadership mindset to build coalitions across states.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Center’s Director and execute the Foundation’s legal work plan.
• Build a robust docket and advance strategic priorities.
• Participate in complex litigation including discovery, briefs, trials, appellate work, and amicus briefing.
