Nixon Peabody LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to identify and resolve potential legal and business conflicts across multiple offices. The role reports to the Associate General Counsel - New Business, Conflicts and Ethics, with a hybrid or remote work arrangement available.

The attorney will ensure ethical walls are in place, review engagement-related documents, advise on client worthiness, and support staff and attorneys in conflict clearance processes.

Formación

• Active member in good standing in a state bar.
• Minimum 4 years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm.
• Knowledge of conflict clearance and business intake procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of ethical, legal and risk management.
• Provide analysis and assess due diligence to identify conflicts of interest and client worthiness related to new firm business.
• Proactively engage with attorneys, staff and teams to resolve conflicts of interest or business issues.
• Draft and review conflict waivers, engagement letters and related documents to ensure compliance.
• Review outside counsel agreements and RFPs to identify and resolve conflicts and ensure policy compliance.
• Establish and implement ethical walls.
• Maintain records and tracking systems for conflict clearance in firm databases.
• Assist personnel in understanding conflicts and new business intake policies.
