Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated Condo Association Attorney in Florida to represent associations and their boards in a range of legal matters from contract disputes to governance enforcement. The role requires drafting and revising governing documents, advising boards on risk management, and staying updated on Florida statutes.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of condo/HOA law experience, a JD, and Florida Bar admission; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
• 3-5 years of condo/HOA law experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Statutes, particularly Chapters 718 and 720.
• Proven experience in litigation, mediation, and negotiation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail.
• Experience working in a law firm environment serving community association clients.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent condominium and homeowner associations in a variety of legal matters, including contract disputes, governing document interpretation and enforcement, construction defect claims, and general litigation.
• Draft, review, and amend governing documents such as declarations, bylaws, rules, and regulations, ensuring compliance with Florida law and addressing association needs.
• Advise boards of directors on day-to-day operational and legal matters, including dispute resolution, assessment collections, covenant enforcement, and risk management.
• Assist with mediation and negotiation processes, and represent associations in court proceedings when necessary.
• Stay current with Florida laws and regulations pertaining to community associations and provide client education on compliance and best practices.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure high-quality client service.
