Job summary

Build With Altitude is seeking an Architectural Designer to contribute to the planning, design, documentation, and execution of financial services projects. The role is remote with preference for candidates in PA or VA for occasional travel to client locations.

You will develop drawings, specs, and construction documents, apply codes, coordinate with consultants, and support design reviews and construction administration. A proactive, detail-oriented, team-focused professional is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field (licensure not required).
• 5+ years of experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Experience with financial institutions or commercial projects preferred.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; rendering/BIM skills a plus.
• Knowledge of building codes, ADA, life safety, and permitting.
• Ability to coordinate drawings, specs, and documents with high accuracy.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, engineers, contractors.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Self-starter who can work with a remote, multidisciplinary team.
• Licensure or credentials (LEED/WELL) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from concept through construction documents for financial services projects.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to meet requirements.
• Independently manage time and workload to meet deadlines while coordinating with teams.
• Prepare and coordinate architectural plans, elevations, details, specifications, and docs.
• Apply codes, accessibility, life safety, and permitting in development.
• Coordinate information with engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulators.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and presentations.
• Support construction administration: RFIs, submittals, field observations, issue resolution.
• Support schedules, budgets, standards, constructability reviews, QC.
• Research industry best practices and emerging technologies for innovative solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and growth of the company.
