Analytical Mechanics Associates invites applications for a Computer Science/Engineering intern to contribute to computer vision research, focusing on CNNs and vision transformers to enhance degraded imagery during lunar landing missions. The intern will work with PyTorch and C++/Python to produce robust analyses and documentation.

Responsibilities include iterating designs with the engineering team, delivering CAD-ready packages, and preparing reports and presentations for the team and NASA

Qualifications

Progress toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical field such as Physics, CS, or Engineering.
Experience applying CNNs and ViTs to image-related tasks is desirable.
Programming with C/C++, Python, or Julia is expected.

Responsibilities

Apply computer vision techniques (CNNs and ViTs) to improve degraded imagery/video during lunar landing.
Iterate designs based on feedback from the engineering team (GN&C, mechanical, flight test).
Produce engineering drawings and CAD packages for internal reviews.
Develop reports, presentations, and documentation with clear guidance.
Attend meetings and workshops as needed.
