Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in New Jersey seeks a Compliance Auditor to join the Compliance & Risk Management team. You will conduct operational and compliance audits across programs statewide, evaluate practices for effectiveness, and develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role offers largely remote work, a 40-hour week, and benefits, with travel Throughout New Jersey to audit different programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Compliance, Auditing, Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and professional reports and audit documentation.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpreting complex information.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance, operational, and internal audits across programs throughout New Jersey.
• Evaluate business practices, procedures, and management controls for effectiveness and compliance.
• Analyze data, documentation, records, reports, and operational processes.
• Develop audit workplans, testing procedures, audit reports, and recommendations.
• Present findings and collaborate with leadership to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls and organizational policies.
• Review regulatory compliance related to licensing, Medicaid, DHS, and other applicable requirements.
• Perform data analysis and prepare business recommendations for leadership.
• Support organizational initiatives focused on quality, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
• Travel throughout New Jersey to conduct audits and reviews in various programs and locations.
