Job summary

Upland Capital Group, Inc. is seeking a Complex Construction Defect Claims Adjuster to work remotely with limited supervision, adjudicating nationwide property & casualty claims of varying severity.

The role primarily handles Construction Defect claims, with exposure to related lines as needed. The candidate should have 5+ years of construction defect claims handling, coverage analysis, and litigation experience, with licenses across the United States preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of complex property/casualty claims experience.
• Construction Defect claims handling, coverage analysis, and litigation.
• Licensed adjuster across United States preferred.
• Ability to self-manage in a work-from-home environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across multiple business functions and independently.

Responsibilities

• Reviews policy language and coverage position letters.
• Reviews, analyzes, and recommends reserves.
• Reviews and leads the investigation of claims within given inventory.
• Reviews and leads litigation management efforts.
• Presents claims for reserve and/or settlement authority.
• Travel 10–15% to offsite meetings, seminars, mediations, trials, as necessary.
