The internship runs Fall 2026 through year-end, with potential extension, and requires location in the St. Louis, MO area. The role offers hands-on experience coordinating virtual and in-person events, volunteer engagement, and policy outreach supporting health and financial security.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a degree program and remain enrolled throughout the internship.
• Self-starter with ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to work with diverse populations; collaboration skills.
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Promote AARP MO policy issues through outreach and events.
• Assist in community engagement activities, virtual and in-person.
• Support volunteer outreach programming and meetings.
• Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with internal and external partners.
