Job summary

The Arthritis Foundation is seeking an Executive Director to partner with community volunteers to implement an annual plan addressing arthritis needs in their market, including revenue generation, events, and mission outreach. This role leads volunteer leadership and builds high-impact relationships.

You will recruit and develop volunteer boards, oversee fundraising activities, and ensure accountability and program delivery across the assigned market, reporting to the Region Vice President.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of non-profit leadership directing staff.
• Proven track record in volunteer stewardship and partnerships.
• Strong sales/relationship-building in a non-profit setting.
• Ability to translate mission into effective, sustained relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Arthritis Foundation lead staff in assigned markets to build empowered communities and increase awareness.
• Develop annual and long-term plans with volunteers for revenue generation and mission outreach.
• Directly implement annual plans including events, fundraising, and outreach.
• Recruit volunteers for leadership roles and cultivate a diverse volunteer pipeline.
• Cultivate relationships with major donors, corporate partners, healthcare providers and others.
• Create a culture of philanthropy with Leadership Boards and high-performing market teams.
