Job summary

DLB Associates is seeking a Commissioning Field Manager I to oversee on-site commissioning activities and manage field teams across projects in the United States. You will direct vendors, coordinate resources, and ensure milestones are met while maintaining client relationships.

The role requires advanced decision-making, strong communication, and the ability to work remotely with limited supervision. Travel up to 75% is expected, with relocation possible for long-term engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline.
• Two years of hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and controls infrastructure.
• Minimum eight years’ additional experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and controls infrastructure.
• Ability to obtain NFPA70E and/or OSHA certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site commissioning activities and manage project teams.
• Develop commissioning plans and testing scripts.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and sequences of operations.
• Maintain commissioning documentation and client communications.
• Ensure projects meet milestones, budgets and quality standards.
