Job summary

TAG is seeking a highly qualified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to prepare complex narrative appraisals and independently manage a variety of assignments in the Minneapolis area. Remote work is available, allowing collaboration with MAIs and interaction with attorneys on lender transactions, eminent domain, and estate matters.

You will conduct on-site inspections, write detailed reports, and participate in litigation support and marketing initiatives to differentiate the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university.
• Certified General Appraisal License with 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate valuation.
• Pursuit of MAI designation and ongoing professional development.
• Proficiency in DCF analysis and advanced valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reports and testimony.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel for financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive commercial appraisals for mortgage financing, estate valuation, tax appeals, and eminent domain cases.
• Independently handle commercial appraisal assignments, including report writing and client communication.
• Conduct detailed on-site inspections of commercial properties and interviews with property owners, managers, and other relevant contacts.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with a diverse client base.
• Maintain regular communication with commercial real estate brokers, public officials, and other key market participants.
• Conduct thorough research, verification, and sophisticated analysis of competitive commercial market data.
• Produce well-supported narrative appraisal reports utilizing a collaborative team approach.
• Actively contribute to marketing strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing business differentiation.
