Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Defense Attorney to join our Lancaster, SC office. The attorney will handle sophisticated business disputes, partner directly with clients, and own cases from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
• Experience handling sophisticated commercial disputes.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage cases from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse commercial litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial and appeal, as appropriate.
• Develop litigation strategy and advise clients on risk assessment and case resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare witnesses and experts for deposition and trial.
• Handle all aspects of written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop practical, business-focused legal solutions.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
