We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and customer-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is a position with remote flexibility, but candidates must be based in Iowa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a book of commercial lines accounts, providing exceptional customer service to our clients, and maintaining and growing client relationships. Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial lines accounts, including property and casualty insurance.
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing insurance policy recommendations.
  • Review and analyze policy details, identifying potential risks and proposing risk management solutions.
  • Handle policy renewals and endorsements, ensuring clients are adequately covered and satisfied with their insurance policies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals to clients, ensuring they understand their coverage options and the benefits of each policy.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure policies meet clients' needs and comply with industry regulations.
  • Issue certificates of insurance (COI) as required and manage any changes or updates to existing policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, providing clients with accurate and timely information.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial insurance, specifically in account management, customer service, risk management, insurance underwriting, policy analysis, and policy renewal.
  • Proven experience in managing commercial lines, including property and casualty insurance.
  • Strong understanding of endorsements, COI, and other insurance-related documents.
  • Exceptional client relations skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in client management and client services software.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while maintaining a high level of productivity and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be a resident of Iowa.
