Job summary

UtiliSave LLC is seeking a Collections Attorney to lead its accounts receivable litigation efforts nationwide. You will own all collections matters, develop strategies, file and pursue suits, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws including FDCPA.

This role also supports related legal work for UtiliSave and Steifman LLP, conducts research, reviews contracts, and helps improve processes. Remote, full-time with Eastern Time work hours; U.S. residency required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York or eligible within 90 days
• Minimum 3 years in collections law or related litigation
• Strong knowledge of FDCPA and enforcement litigation
• Excellent negotiation and settlement skills
• Excellent legal writing and advocacy
• Proficient with Westlaw or LexisNexis

Responsibilities

• Lead collections matters and enforcement for UtiliSave accounts receivable
• Develop collection strategies and manage litigation filings
• Negotiate settlements with customers and counsel
• Represent UtiliSave at depositions and hearings
• Support Steifman LLP on related litigation and compliance
• Conduct legal research and contract review as needed
