Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Centralized Order Entry Pharmacist PRN to support patient care from a Work from Home setting. The role requires SC Pharmacist license and will involve monitoring, evaluating and making recommendations to ensure safe drug therapy in alignment with hospital policies.

Responsibilities include entering orders, screening for interactions, documenting interventions, and addressing age-specific considerations from neonatal to geriatric.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in good standing is required.
• PharmD is preferred but not required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities to ensure safe drug therapy.
• Enter orders accurately in the computer in a timely manner.
• Review non-formulary and restricted drugs per policy.
• Screen for interactions, allergies and drug duplications.
• Investigate adverse drug events and medication incidents.
• Assess orders for age-specific appropriateness from neonatal to geriatric.
