Remote Coding Specialists, Profee ED/Urgent Care

Job Summary

As a Medical Coder at LexiCode, you will join a team of coding experts dedicated to delivering exceptional coding services. Your primary responsibility will be accurately assigning codes to medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position starts at $25.00-33.00 per hour. The actual pay may vary based on experience and skills. Bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package are also provided.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
• Assign accurate medical codes reflecting clinical documentation.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of coded data.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess AHIMA credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC credentials (CPC, COC, CIC).
• At least 1 year of experience coding Profee ED/Urgent Care.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with coding software and EHR systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
