UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Coding Quality Analyst to join our team remotely within the United States. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, with standard 8-hour shifts 8am-5pm CST and occasional overtime as required.

On-the-job training is provided, and telecommuting is allowed from anywhere in the U.S. The position focuses on reviewing records for coding accuracy and potential fraud, with responsibilities spanning documentation and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active and unrestricted coding certification (AHIMA CCS/CCS-P or RHIT) or AAPC CPC.
• 2+ years of CPT medical coding experience.
• 2+ years of medical record auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews records identified as suspicious or potentially fraudulent using CPT/ICD-9/ICD-10/HCPCS guidelines.
• Documents decisions in notes and appropriate systems.
• Discusses and presents decisions to internal/external groups as needed.
• Coordinates with team to understand billing/coding trends.
