Job summary

Abdul for Senate is seeking a Coalitions Director to lead the statewide coalitions program for the 2026 election cycle. You will manage a team of Outreach Directors focused on Arab American, Black, Latino, Jewish, and Muslim communities, while maintaining relationships with 25+ partner groups in Michigan.

The role requires strategic coalition-building, strong people management, and the ability to unify diverse community efforts into a disciplined program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 political cycles of paid campaign or coalition work experience.
• Proven management experience of staff serving diverse communities.
• Established relationships across Michigan community networks.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage Outreach Directors for Arab American, Black, Latino, Jewish, and Muslim programs.
• Oversee a coalitions program with 25+ partner groups.
• Execute coalitions strategy aligned with voter contact goals.
• Serve as senior liaison for coalition partners and endorsing orgs.
• Coordinate with field and digital teams to integrate coalitions work.
• Plan and oversee coalition events and endorsements.
• Track engagement metrics and report progress to leadership.
• Resolve conflicts among partners and staff.
