Job summary

Abdul for US Senate is seeking talented candidates to work as a Muslim Outreach Coordinator for the 2026 election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El-Sayed our next U.S.

Senator. The Muslim Outreach Coordinator is responsible for overseeing comprehensive community organization and leadership outreach, volunteer engagement, and voter contact activities specifically focused on Michigan’s Muslim community.

Qualifications

• At least three years in Muslim civic, political, or community work.
• Established relationships with local imams or leaders, or quick trust-building ability.
• Cultural fluency across diverse Muslim communities.
• Familiarity with Islamic calendars and outreach planning.
• Access to transportation for events.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Drive.
• Willingness for irregular hours including some nights and weekends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to elect Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with mosques and organize event calendars.
• Recruit volunteers from mosques, youth groups, and Muslim orgs.
• Coordinate voter registration programs.
• Engage Muslim media and influencers in SE Michigan.
• Extend outreach beyond mosques to other spaces.
• Collaborate with Organizing Managers to identify voters.
• Connect with local Muslim speakers to build networks.
• Arrange candidate visits to major mosques in Michigan.
• Work with other departments to meet campaign goals.
