Job summary

StarkMHAR in Canton, OH, is seeking a Coalition & Community Development Coordinator to lead countywide suicide and substance-use prevention coalitions. The role involves coordinating data, managing budgets, and producing timely reports for external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in social/behavioral fields, 3+ years in coalition work, and strong communication and project management skills. Remote work eligibility is offered where feasible, with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral services or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in the community coalition field.
• Experience with AOD/MH prevention preferred.
• OCPSA certification or willingness to obtain within first year preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Stark County suicide and substance-use prevention coalitions and sub-committees.
• Coordinate data collection and reporting for coalitions and related grants.
• Oversee coalition budgets and reporting requirements.
• Plan and host community events related to suicide and overdose prevention.
• Collaborate with StarkMHAR clinical and non-clinical teams to support coalitions.
