Job summary

CBN Secure Technologies Inc. is seeking a Cloud Ops Administrator to configure, monitor, and manage cloud instances for North American customers. You will ensure high availability, reliability, and security of our cloud services.

The role requires hands-on experience with Linux/Windows, Azure, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet). Remote work from within the continental USA is supported, with occasional travel and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Fluent in English (speak, read, write).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent additional relevant experience
• Knowledge of system administration, cloud computing (Azure), security best practices
• O/S: Linux, Windows Server, cloud instances; Virtualization: VMware, XCP-NG, JVM; Containerization/Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes; Deployment/Configuration: Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, Helmchart
• 4-7 years of system/cloud administration experience (minimum 1 year of cloud administration)
• Able to work an on-call rotation of 1 week on/5 weeks off
• Able to travel approx. 2-6 weeks/year

Responsibilities

• Cloud Administration: Install, configure, and maintain services, instance nodes, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Design, maintain, and improve infrastructure‑as‑code and automation pipelines to reduce manual operations and improve reliability and repeatability.
• Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor system and database instances performance, identify issues, and optimize performance.
• Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases instances from unauthorized access and threats.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure services and instances are ready and available 24/7 and on demand.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and database configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
