Allstate is seeking a Software Engineer Lead Consultant to design and own digital products using modern tools and scalable systems. You will drive production readiness, KPI success, and collaborative execution with product managers across portfolios.

The role emphasizes coaching, paired programming, and test-driven development while shaping architecture and deployment practices for reliable software.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ), API development/integration, and microservices architecture is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in inception and iteration planning meetings, infusing backlogs with technical input working in close partnership with the product manager.
• Collaborate across product portfolios with product managers and stakeholders.
• Serve as an expert on one or more business domains and advocate multiple technology stacks across the organization.
• Lead daily site, cross-site, and product team standups.
• Lead retrospectives and encourage feedback with empathy.
• Provide support for software products in user environments.
• Coach the team and promote paired programming and test-driven development.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
