Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Cloud Networking Engineer to design, deploy, and operate service mesh platforms—Istio and Linkerd—across our Kubernetes estate. The role emphasizes platform engineering, mesh adoption, mTLS, traffic policy, and enabling app teams to gain mesh benefits with minimal complexity.

The ideal candidate has production experience with Istio or Linkerd, deep Envoy knowledge, and strong Go or Python tooling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or networking.
• Hands-on experience operating Istio or Linkerd in production.
• Strong understanding of Envoy proxy internals and config.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise including networking, CNI, and ingress.
• Strong understanding of mTLS, PKI, and certificate lifecycle.
• Experience with distributed tracing and observability for mesh traffic.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for tooling and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, app, and control plane.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate service mesh platforms (Istio/Linkerd).
• Ensure secure, observable, and reliable service-to-service communication.
• Collaborate with application teams to adopt mesh with minimal complexity.
• Manage mTLS, traffic policies, and data-plane configurations.
