Job summary

Appspace is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer in the United States to design and implement secure cloud configurations across GCP, Azure, and AWS, with a strong emphasis on GCP. You will leverage SaaS security, network security, and compliance expertise to guide clients and strengthen security postures.

In this role you will lead incident response, manage SIEM, and ensure adherence to GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, and CSA STAR. Join a customer-facing security team with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related field.
• 7-10 years cloud security experience.
• 4+ years securing Azure and GCP.
• 4+ years SIEM, alerts, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• CISSP certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize cloud security architectures across GCP, Azure, and AWS.
• Respond to customer questionnaires and calls with artifacts like diagrams and data flows.
• Review security alerts in SIEM and expand alerting/reporting capabilities.
• Provide guidance on SaaS security, IAM, encryption, and API security.
• Lead compliance initiatives for GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, CSA STAR.
• Engage clients with clear security concepts and presentations.
• Support incident response and remediation planning.
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats and practices.
