Job summary

Cleerly is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, build, and secure our cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on cloud-native security architecture and IaC controls. You will partner with engineering and security leadership to maintain secure cloud environments and drive automated compliance across CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in security engineering, with AWS expertise, CSPM/CWPP tooling experience, and proficiency in Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of dedicated security engineering with AWS and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience architecting security infrastructure from the ground up.
• Proven track record implementing cloud-native tooling (CSPM, CWPP) and embedding automated security controls into CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python, Terraform, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong understanding of SaaS risk management and DLP implementations.
• Experience in startup environments and strong cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure cloud architecture.
• Embed IaC security controls and automated compliance scanning across environments.
• Monitor cloud security posture and triage CSPM alerts; conduct investigations.
• Integrate automated security testing into the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Design and audit cloud-native security controls for compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC).
• Lead incident response activities and collaborate with engineering teams.
