Job summary

LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, seeks a Technology Specialist to secure FAA cloud environments and support cloud security operations. You will implement security baselines, manage IAM/RBAC, and automate remediation using Python/PowerShell.

The role requires strong cloud security, IaC, and compliance experience within AWS/Azure ecosystems. Remote work available across the United States, with travel and 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps, or cybersecurity engineering.
• Experience securing AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with CIS Benchmarks, STIGs, or NIST controls.
• Experience configuring AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, CloudTrail, Config, IAM, Security Groups, Network ACLs, and KMS.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Experience integrating security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Experience with Linux and Windows server hardening.
• Familiarity with container security and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain secure cloud-native apps and infrastructure in FAA-approved cloud environments (AWS, Azure, hybrid).
• Implement security baselines for cloud resources per FAA, NIST, CIS, DISA STIGs, or FedRAMP.
• Configure and monitor AWS security services to identify and remediate findings.
• Develop automated remediation workflows for cloud security findings.
• Implement IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep with secure configs.
• Integrate security validation into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Perform cloud vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation.
• Maintain IAM policies, RBAC, MFA, and least privilege access.
• Configure data encryption at rest/in transit (KMS, Key Vault, TLS).
• Support Zero Trust principles and incident response activities.
• Document security architectures, SOPs, and configuration standards.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineers, ISSOs, Security Engineers, Developers, and Architects.
