Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks a Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering to lead a team responsible for cloud platform engineering, architecture enhancements, and operational excellence. This role shapes cloud standards and drives automation and security improvements across the organization.

The position is remote within the United States and requires authorization to work without sponsorship. You will partner with engineering, risk, and architecture teams to deliver resilient, high-performing cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years setting up cloud infrastructure with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team for the cloud services unit responsible for managing the cloud platform.
• Partner with cloud & enterprise architecture teams to develop and enforce cloud standards, best practices, and roadmap capabilities.
• Develop deep technical understanding and demonstrate thought leadership in emerging areas.
• Work with risk and information security teams to ensure proper controls and security rigor for cloud platforms.
• Partner with application development teams to provide new platform services to enable their success.
• Act as SME for planning & executing cloud platform architecture enhancements including network, security, and automation.
• Own the reliability, availability, and performance of core cloud platform functions.
• Manage department staff including hiring, performance management and career development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
