Branch is a remote-first FinTech company hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer to join the Cloud Ops team. You will help build and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and develop automation to reduce toil across production systems.

In this role you’ll work with GCP, observability tools, and cross-functional projects, including workflow automation. The position requires a 24/7 on-call rotation and offers a competitive USD salary with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering (preferably GCP).
• Familiarity with observability tools and processes (monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Experience with Python, Bash, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to security practices.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure in GCP under senior engineer direction.
• Keep cloud infrastructure scalable, secure, and highly available.
• Build automation to reduce toil and improve recovery from incidents.
• Troubleshoot issues and support observability tools.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Participate in monitoring, incident response, and cross-department projects.
