Job summary

Mission Bridge Partners is partnering with a federal technology integrator to identify an experienced Cloud Network Engineer for a large-scale modernization program. The role is remote and contract-to-hire, supporting design, deployment, and operation of secure multi-cloud networks across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP for a federal customer.

Candidates bring hands-on Terraform IaC, strong cloud networking, security controls, and experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco devices, VPNs, NACLs, and EKS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience or Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting networking within enterprise cloud environments.
• Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support networking infrastructure across cloud environments, including Azure, OCI, GCP, and AWS
• Deploy and manage cloud networking components including VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, security groups, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and network access controls
• Use Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure, including AWS security groups
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco devices, VPN concentrators, IPsec tunnels, route maps, NACLs, and related network security technologies
• Support networking requirements for AWS EKS clusters
• Implement cloud network security controls and follow established security and compliance requirements
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, routing, firewall, VPN, DNS, and performance issues
• Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, capacity, and overall system health
• Perform network maintenance, upgrades, patching, hot fixes, and security configuration updates
• Partner with network administrators, cloud engineers, security teams, and other technical stakeholders to resolve infrastructure issues
• Provide Level 2/3 engineering support for cloud and network-related incidents
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
