Job summary

Excellus BCBS seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure leader to define vision and strategy for hybrid cloud platforms, enabling secure, scalable, and cost-efficient deployments across public and private clouds. You will drive technology research, evaluation, and delivery across PaaS, SaaS, hosted, and on-prem solutions, partnering with IT teams to meet business needs.

The role requires coordination with stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient infrastructure.

Qualifications

Seven cumulative years of related work experience in lieu of degree (Level I).
Awareness of security, compliance, and audit policies/procedures.
Experience with research, design, and implementation in assigned technologies.
Infrastructure operations and infrastructure project delivery experience essential.
Scripting and automation experience.
Strong communication skills.
Understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and concepts.
Knowledge of cloud and/or on-prem integration.

Responsibilities

Act as a high level escalation tier for operational support in assigned technical areas.
Conduct proof-of-concept testing in a lab environment.
Create infrastructure design documents for production deployments.
Deploy new technology to production environment and design infrastructure solutions.
Research and implement hybrid cloud technology.
Support high-level strategy for enterprise server environment.
Gather IT infrastructure requirements from business stakeholders.
Collaborate with vendors and SMEs to produce corporate standards.
