Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an Application Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance AWS-based applications and infrastructure. The role collaborates with development, operations, and security teams to ensure scalability, performance, and security in a remote, contract setting.

You will participate in on‑call rotations, manage EKS clusters, implement IaC with Terraform, containerize with ECS and Lambda, and ensure robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience with cloud deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with ECR and CI/CD pipelines for containers.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, YAML/JSON, Node.js, and Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Manage Amazon EKS including cluster provisioning, upgrades, and node groups.
• Configure EKS networking including VPC CNI, security groups for pods, and ALB/NLB ingress controllers.
• Administer Kubernetes objects including deployments, services, configmaps, secrets, and RBAC.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using CloudWatch and related observability tools.
• Containerize and deploy applications using ECS and Lambda.
• Deploy across dev, staging, and prod environments to ensure consistency and stability.
• Monitor deployments and system health using CloudWatch and other tools.
